22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:22
The Word says to stay away from the appearance of evil. I may not have an evil intention, but I should not look evil.
When someone sees me can they tell I am a Christian without me explicitly saying that I?
Questions I want us to ask ourselves.
When people see me will they want to know Jesus or will I discourage them from wanting to know Him?
What type of attitude do I have?
Am I kind, patient, a liar, a thief?
Would someone want to be a Christian based on my character?
Would I want to be a Christian if I saw someone behaving like me?
What does my character look like?
What does my attire look like?
Am I making it harder for someone to obey God?
Am I being modest?
Am I wearing this as a thirst trap?
Am I choosing this outfit to get attention?
Why am I wearing this outfit?
Where did I get the thoughts to dress like this?
Are my recreation activities promoting God?
Is where I spend my time a place where Christians should be?
Would I be embarrassed if my Pastor saw me here?
Am I here out of boredom?
Is God here with me?
Am I here because I am bored?
Is this the type of job that a Christian should have?
Am I gossiping?
Am I a different person at work and church?
Can my work collegues see Christ in my actions?
Ask God to show you what He is pleased about and to show you which areas He desires to change.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
